Start a new game: The Galaxy. Customize features for the galaxy. This includes the number of independent life forms, space monsters, and the hostility of pirates.
Start a new game: The Empire. Choose a preferable race and government system. Some races have access to unique government systems only available to them.
The in-game Galactopedia offers extensive knowledge about everything in the game. Highlighted here is the one of the less aggressive insectoid races, the Gizurean.
Game start - A top-down perspective, viewing the home planet and several pre-made ships in orbit. Private-owned ships (e.g. freighters) are automated and cannot be controlled.
