Rock your way to an early grave...

The Good
Rockstar has quite a lot of options to keep you interested. Naming your band, singles and albums all lend a person feel to the game, and allow for much replaying. Because the game is text only it leaves a lot up the your own imagination, like how your songs would sound and even what kind of music your band would play. This is good because it is unlikely in game music could capture what your imagination wants.

It is also VERY easy to spend a whole afternoon trying to beat your last score.

The Bad
It was VERY hard to balance staying off drugs, though this is part of the fun, sometimes I just wish my band could have got that bit further.

The colour changes could be bad for for those prone to seizures.

The Bottom Line
The game at its heart is a non serious simulation of a rock and roll band in the late 80's. Text only management might sound dull, but some of the situations your character gets into are funny the twentieth time around.

I had so much fun with this game, years ago. I want to be the best band in the world again. It is a wonderful feeling.
