This appears when the CD is loaded, the run button starts both the game and the installation program
The game loads to this screen. It's the only time it's displayed which is a shame because it's a pretty green.
The player must create a log on identity.
This is the puzzle selection screen. The puzzles are divided into magazines and then further divided by difficulty.
There's a brief introduction screen, which can be supressed. A more detailed description is available via the Help option from the main menu.
The start of a puzzle
The playeris using the 'Pen' option which means the numbers are being entered into the grid
Now the player is using the 'Pencil' mode which enters small numbers where the player thinks they might go
The Check Answers button shows the player how they're doing. It can be used mid game and it's needed at the end of the game to confirm thatthe game has been successfully completed.
Here the player has requested a hint. All the options Hint, check answers, & cheat first confirm that they have not been selected in error.

The game can be paused but that does not mean the player can still work on it while the clock is stopped.
