The background images of the main game can be changed with a separate program to match the selected campaign.
BoB 1941 RAF campaign description.
Each campaign has a short sepia-colored movie sequence at the start, in this case showing a Spitfires intercepting a Ju-87 bomber attack.
The BoB campaign does not have a proper channel map, but instead uses the Gulf of Finland to simulate the actual locations.
One of the new background images used with the changed interface.
Our group of Spitfires are encountering some Ju-87 Stukas with Me-109 top cover.
The Stukas have some problems with the ground defences, while the Me-109:s are tangling with the Spits.
The 'UK' airfield is actually Vanta in Helsinki, the passenger hall is the white cylinder at the upper right. This Me-109 is taking on landing Spits at unawares.
Another mission and skin for the Me109.
Spitfire Vb hunting a yellow-nose Bf-109
After all the fighting is done, one of the AI Spits just had to fly through a barrage balloon's wire.
There are issues with AI taxiing too close to some trees on this airport. Here is one example of the result.
No playing with balloons this time!
A He-111 shooting at attacking Spitfires.
This damaged He-111 made it back to base on one engine, the top gunner seems to have tired of it all though.
The Luftwaffe campaign for BoB 1941, same Stuka + Me-109 grop attacking 'Britain' on the gulf of Finland map, but now with Hurricane defenders.
Now we defend German bases in 'France', actually Estonia against RAF. This is the loading screen when we change the background with the campaign tools provided.
Nondescript Hurricanes, some actually without any markings. The 'markings on/off' setting configuration is a bit random sometimes.
This Me-109 group leader has a bit more details that the common variety.
Blenheim bomber being harassed by a Me-109 fighter.
A Stuka paintjob, some variations on a theme with all of them.
Hurricane and Me-109 playing chicken?
This Hurricane needs some soapy water.
A transport Dakota appears in some missions. The skin looks almost drawn in cartoon style.
D-day, US Air Force campaign description.
D-day loading screen for the US campaign.
The first missions are very dark, taking place at midnight and early morning. we fly P-47D-27, in striped invasion skins, but not much can be seen in the dark.
Here's some C47 Dakota's on their way to dropping passengers. The lighting improves with the help from ground, if only they didn't shoot so much, then it would be good.
We also have B-17 bombers to pave the way a bit.
A Ju-52 is the only aircraft up this early, and it better stay away. (skin markings plus mission markings at the same time looks odd)
In the morning the sun appears and make things look better. Some B-25:s are on their way to target.
The RAF makes a token appearance with some Spitfire IX:s
The skins of the P-47:s are individualized.
In place of the actual UK/US gliders, we have some Russian G-11. They landed in the dark, in earlier missions.
RAF D-day campaign description, here we are flying Spitfire IX. Note that the map has proper names for the area.
It was a dark and stormy night...and I was sitting in a Spitfire trying to survive.
...someone had brought flashlights, but that only made it scarier...
...booh! Landing, with runway fires lighting up the underside of the Spitfire.
Those AA guns can shoot big chunks off some aircraft.
A nice B-17 skin
An unknown lend-lease program, an Me-210 in RAF skin? It is there because at the time of release for this add-on, there were no Mosquitos in FB, so this one had to fill the spot.
Spitfire IX with 'invasion striped' skin.
Berlin defense 1945-46 campaign description, flying Luftwaffe jet fighters Me-262 & Go-229.
Loading screen for the Berlin defense 45-46 campaign.
The Berlin defense campaign starts with you flying the Me-262 'Swallow' fighter against B-17 or 'Mosquito' (Me-210) bombers, with P-47 or P-51D escorts.
You often have AI assistance from Fw-190D 'Dora' fighters, in skins which are red striped on the underside.
The P-51D fighters still have their 'invasion stripes' painted on from -44. (The P-47 fighters use the same skins as in the D-day campaign).
The allies have a new jet, the YP-80 'Shooting Star', which is quite agile and can fly higher than the Me-262.
You get transferred to a Go-229 squadron after a while, but while it is fast, it does not turn as quick, so you better watch your back.
This is one of the mini-campaigns for a US Navy pilot. You fly either an F4U fighter or an A20 bomber from hangar ships.
Are we missing some important screenshots?
