This is the screen the player sees when they start up the game
The game's main menu screen. The game starts with the player entering their identity. They are returned here if / when their luck runs out
A screen like this appears prior to each level. The current episode is always shown over a picture, in this case as it's the start of the game the player is about to fight through the Introduction
The start of level one. Just a few ships so it should be easy ...
Shortly after the start of level one. A few ships more ships have come to join in the fun. This is a pattern that's repeated throughout the game.
Level four and the player is firing toxic bullets. After this there are several comic book style screens that outline the plot.
The first of the comic book style screens that gives the player Commander Chaser's history ...
... but who wants to look at the hero when his boss seems much more impressive.
Level five and the player is about to capture the Missile Strike power-up
A missile strike in action. It can really clear a lot of bad guys from the screen quickly
Level fifteen brings the game's first boss.
The briefing for mission two
When the player is finally wiped out the screen goes all 'spacey' as it displays the Game Over message
Restarting the mission shows the progress made so far. There's no need to go right back to the start.
This shows the player firing freeze bullets. These stop the enemy in their tracks for a few seconds.
This cannon is not a boss but it shows the kind of effect that the player can find in the game. Here the cannon is a big threat but look at the next screen
The player has just destroyed a big cannon. Nice effect
This is the screen where the player exchanges points for prizes.
The game's high score screen comes pre-populated with these scores
Our ship is upgraded to maximum. Now we will need to figure out how to deal with this rain of enemy bullets.
These are the game configuration options. There's no choice of controller and no choice of difficulty.
One of the game's help screens
level fifteen is the last level in the first mission. When it's over there's another sequence of comic book screens showing Captain Chaser interacting with Nadia
