The first phase of the game is building the player's hand. This is done by selecting either of the cards shown.

Having built their hand the player must now decide how many tricks they expect to take.
The trick taking part of the game is underway.
At the end of the round the current cumulative scores are shown. In the last round 'Dad' bid seven tricks but only made six scoring -70 points while the computer bid six and made seven.
