Eldritch
Description
Eldritch is a first-person action game inspired by roguelikes, immersive sims, and H. P. Lovecraft.
The player finds herself trapped in a vast library in the 1920s. Its strange books contain portals to worlds full of bizarre monsters. The player must venture deep into these worlds to uncover the secrets within and find the key to her escape.
Eldritch is a simulation-driven action game which encourages a variety of styles of play. Enemies may be confronted, stealthily avoided, or manipulated to fight each other. In each level, the player discovers ancient statues, bank vaults, and friendly shopkeepers offering useful goods for sale.
Eldritch's maps are procedurally generated, and each time the player dies, she begins from the library in a newly randomized world.
