Main Title

Opening video (not intro, this shows after you've passed certain point in the game whenever you load your progress) showing party members (from left to right, Jet, Gallows, Virginia, and Clive)

Opening video shows various events you will encounter in a game, mixes things that span throughout the game's story

The story starts on the train where all main characters will eventually meet

Until you get the party together, you play as Virginia in the prologue

When all four characters finally meet, you have to play each of their stories to find out what brought them all here to this day and place

If you don't like the default name, you can rename your character at the beginning or even later in the game

Clive's story before the meeting on a train, he was hunting a monster that was terrorizing nearby town

Entering Den of Miasma (first time entering a town or dungeon, it always shows)

One on one, before you get the party, you can select either manual battle or auto-battle mode

Depending on Eternal Sparkle equipped, your character will have different Arcana powers to use in battle

Enemy's using refrigerate on Gallows, luckily your party members can take such attacks rather lightly

On the world map and in dungeons you will only see one character on the screen, which can be switched (currently, Clive is selected)

Exclamation point means random battle is to follow, though you may cancel it, but if not, screen will break into many pieces and bring you right into the battle

You can analyze enemy to find out their weaknesses, strengths, worth, and endurance

Talking to townsfolk (you can remove dialogue text to see clear character portrait at the press of a button)

There are two ways to save your game, use gimmel coin which can save your game anywhere, or talk to little guy in sombrero which can be found in every town

Exploring one of the dungeons (in this case, it's a tower, but it serves the same purpose)

On your way you will encounter other drifters which will most of the time lead to yet another boss battle

When picture starts to look like a role of undeveloped film, you can guess something bad is coming your way

During dialogues, keywords will be highlighted in green which will give you a chance to redirect the path of a conversation

Virginia is using her mystic force ability to heal all party members with a single item from the inventory

Jet is using accelerator to perform his action before anyone, no matter whose turn is

Gallows is summoning his Eternal Sparkle

When achieving a critical hit, enemy will absorb much more damage (there are various ways to increase chance of achieving a critical hit, though)

Upgrading your weapon (you can only upgrade it limited number of times so choose your upgrades well)

World map holds info on all the visited places

The only way to find something like a town, a dungeon, or a sign on a world map is by scanning the area

While on horses gives you a bit of an edge in battle
