Description official description

This party game brings the player in a cross-over between the Mario and Sonic universes. The player may choose between a selection of twenty characters from both franchises to compete in the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, in levels inspired by Mario and Sonic games.

There are a variety of different disciplines such as bobsleigh, skiing, figure skating pairs, and snowboard slopestyle, each with different controls. Some disciplines use the Wii U Gamepad, some others use the Wii Remote Plus, and some, like the triathlon, alternate between both, taking advantage of the various features of each controller. The different game modes include Medley Mania, to compete in medleys, Legends Showdown, an all events challenge, Single Match, to win medals, Action & Answer Tour, to take on quiz, and Worldwide VS, to compete against other players from around the Globe.
