Four classmates of international ESP Institute - Gilbert, Toshio, Tina and Sayaka decide to spend their summer vacation together. Toshio is secretly in love with Sayaka but all his dreams are shattered when it turns out that Sayaka actually likes Gilbert. Toshio is overcome by envy and hatred and then suddenly fate offers him an excellent opportunity to take revenge on his former friend and get his beloved. Taking a walk around the neighborhood, he accidentally stumbles upon an abandoned building, as he goes inside he begins to hear voices in his head. As it turns out, an evil entity who can communicate with people through telepathy lives in this building and he offers Toshio a deal: if he can lure his "friends" here, the monster will help him deal with Gilbert and reunite him with Sayaka.

The objective is to scare the former friends to death and drive them to the top floor of the building, right in the clutches of the monster. There's 30 specter types and they effect each of the 3 characters differently. The game takes place in real time, events start at 19:00 in the evening and it's game over if you don't deal with them until dawn (5:00 AM the next day).
