The object of the game is to guide "Froggy" across a road and then a river avoiding all the obstacles. This program runs on any ZX SPECTRUM.

LOADING Position the cassette into your tape recorder with the printed side upwards and make sure that it is rewound to the beginning. Ensure that the connection lead goes from the EAR socket on the recorder to the EAR socket on the Spectrum and that the MIC socket is disconnected.

TYPE LOAD "" [Note there is no space between the two quotes]. The " is obtained by pressing the SYMBOL SHIFT and P KEY simultaneously.

NOW PRESS PLAY on the recorder. The screen message should now appear and the game will load automatically. If this does not happen adjust the volume and tone controls until loading takes place.

PLAYING Your mission is to get "Froggy" safely home, but to do this you must first cross the road (avoiding the traffic) then cross the river by jumping on the logs and finally get to the homes in the river bank. Snakes suddenly appear on the grass verge between road and river to bite you, and although some of the logs look safe they can sink! Also Crocodiles lurk on the far bank to eat you up. Six frogs home gives you another chance but look out the traffic is moving faster....much faster! Good Luck.

STATUS AND SCORING On screen scoring shows the number of frogs left, the current score and the time constraint.

There is a Hall of Fame for the highest score. Points are scored as follows: On reaching grass verge 100 points, Frog home 200 points, all six frogs home 1000 points, frog catches worm at home 200 points bonus.

CONTROLS N - JUMP LEFT.

M - JUMP RIGHT

Z - JUMP FORWARD

The game becomes more difficult at each level.

PLAYING You must get Froggy safely home, but to do this you must first cross a busy road (avoiding the traffic) and then negotiate the river by jumping on the logs and turtles finally reaching the home in the far bank. Snakes suddenly appear on the grass verge between road and river to bite you and beware the turtles may decide to dive! As the game progresses crocodiles swim around in the river and lurk around the homes. All homes filled gives you another chance but be careful the traffic is becoming faster!

STATUS AND SCORING On screen scoring shows the current score Hi-score, time constraint and number of live left. Hall of fame registers the victor after each game and a bonus life is added at the end of each screen.

The points sored are: - 100 each frog home (200 for the right-hand home.) 10 for every second left and 100 for every life left.

CONTROLS The cursor keys are used to move left and right and the space bar to move up (in this game there are no retreats)
