Sacred Line
Description
Sacred Line is a first-person dark adventure/surreal thriller with physics-based gameplay and a focus on the story and exploration. It has a black-white-red BD visual style and an abstract plot. The game is set in a universe where your main enemy is a union of third-world countries. The attempt to establish a totalitarian regime over the whole planet polluting and destroying everything around them. You are playing as Ellen, a private detective, who is trying to survive in Eastern Europe. She inherited the detective business from her father but it is not thriving anymore. The day before she was going to close it, she receives an anonymous phone call. The caller asks her to find a hidden forest outpost and provides the coordinates. Ellen faces the union's leader summoned by the ancient sect, dealing with unknown sources of power and paranormal activity. This game has two endings, a normal and a secret one.
This is a reworked version of the 2013 homebrew Genesis game Sacred Line: Genesis. The major differences are a reduced number of endings, a new engine with a new GUI, a save/load system, higher resolution graphics (576p still shots were used instead of the compressed original 240p ones), high quality music and new tracks that were not included in the Genesis version because of the ROM size limit, and a French translation of the game in addition to the regular English version.
