Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds - Clone Campaigns
Description official descriptions
Using an improved Age of Empires: Age of Kings engine, Galactic Battlegrounds puts you in control of the most important battles and situations in the Star Wars universe. Play the likes of the Trade Federation, The Rebel Alliance, The Empire in the Battle of Hoth, the Battle of Yavin or the Battle for Naboo.
In this, the expansion pack for GB, you can now control more then 200 units from the latest Star Wars movie [Episode II: Attack of the Clones], including a wider range of droids for the Trade Federation and, of course, the Clone Army (controlled by the Old Republic).
14 new single player missions, involving the Clone Wars and events from the Original and prequel movies plus the 'Expanded Universe' (i.e. novels, comics, etc) are included, each centered on or around major events, locations and characters in the Star Wars galaxy. And you can throw the whole Clone Army up against the Rebel Alliance if you wish, in either skirmish or multiplayer modes.

A terrific RTS second to none but Age of Empires 2
The Good
It uses the Age of empires 2 engine, so you know what the controls will be like.(simple and great) The graphics are terrific and usually smooth. If you like star wars, you will see a lot of familiar races, craft and units. Adds 2 great new races to create a total of 8 civs. The techs are recognizable to Star Wars fans (although you non-jedi may need to read the manual). The resources are believable and all have their age of empires equivilents. Everything in the movies is here, from AT-AT's to Fambaa Shield Generators to Sith and Jedi Masters. The multi-player is very fun and not very laggy.(And best of all.... FREE!!) Finally, the voiceovers for generic units is very good and realistic.
The Bad
Some of the maps were degraded. For instance, in the original, the Tatooine map had sandcrawlers you could find and rush with. That feature has been dropped for appearently no reason. Alas, this next complaint is a problem I had with Jedi Knight 2. Luke Skywalker, Han, Leia, practically no one, did the voiceovers for their respective units. Lastly, for some odd reason, whenever guys get killed, they let out this scream very unbecoming to a RTS game.
The Bottom Line
This game is a Star Wars version of AOE. If you liked AOE, you should get this. Period. End of Discussion.
