Description official description

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is a persistent world game based on the Family Guy cartoon TV series with gameplay very similar to The Simpsons: Tapped Out. The game's premise is that the Fox company has cancelled the series and all the characters are called to a meeting. There, Peter Griffin fights with Fox's president, a chicken, and in the ensuing clash the entire city burns down. The goal of the game is to rebuild Quahog city house per house and to unlock eighteen characters from the show.

Starting with Peter as the only character, additional ones are unlocked by constructing their houses. Each house generates two currencies with a time delay: coins and experience. Coins are used to construct new buildings and to demolish land so it can be used to rebuild. Further coins are earned by doing activities and going on quests. Characters can level up and then gain access to new activities. Once a character is unlocked, it offers the same abilities as Peter with an experience level and activities. When constructing a new building the player can decide where to put it and they can also be rotated. Additional items can be bought from an in-game shop. These include more buildings, decorative elements, special items (such as the Petercopter or Quagmire's plane) and more characters or costumes. Most of these can be bought with regular coins, but some of them require the premium currency: clams.

As with most games in the genre, there is a time delay before activities are completed, ranging from a few seconds to generate coins and experience from Peter's house, to hours and days for others. As a persistent game the player can return when the activities are completed or speed up the process by buying clamps with real-money through an in-app purchase. Additional gameplay elements include the ability to visit friends' version of the Quahog city through Stevie's multiverse and the Facebook parody FaceSpace where characters have their own profiles and posts similar to the way it was implemented in South Park: The Stick of Truth.

The iOS version has an exclusive Fool's Gold quest line where players help Peter become rich.
