Verminian Trap is a single-screen action game for one to four players. There are three game modes to select from.* Arcade Game: Wave after wave of enemies will attack. Fight them off as long as possible to get your best score.

Capture 10 Flags: While fighting the enemies, try to grab any flag that appears. The first player to grab ten flags, wins.
Reach 1000 pts: Fight enemies until you are the first to reach one-thousand points to win.

There are also six locations to select. Deadly Plains is the default location. The remaining are Night Swamp, Deep Jungle, North Mountains, Black Canyon and Forgotten Tomb. Each location is more challenging than the one before.
