Missile Panic
- Missile Panic (1982 on VIC-20)
Description official description
Missile Panic is an action game where the player controls a missile and on each level must destroy several "cores" by flying into them. The missile constantly flies forward and can be turned in four directions, using on-screen controls, but cannot instantly turn 180 degrees. Colliding with a wall destroys the missile and means a game over; there is also a time limit to every level. The speed of the missile increases whenever it picks up an energy power-up or destroys a core.
Destroying a core causes the missile to lose one unit of energy, and if energy runs out while some cores remain intact, the level ends in failure. Energy can be replenished by collecting colorful balloons, and if energy is already full, the energy bar increases. Another bonus is the recovery flag, which restores the missile speed and energy to full and resets the time limit.
The game was originally released as part of the compilation PicoPicoGames.
