Meteor Mission 2

Meteor Mission 2 is unlike its predecessor a Lunar Rescue variant. The player controls a shuttle that has to be used to rescue six stranded astronauts from a planet. The game is viewed from the side with the player starting out from a space station at the top and the astronauts that has to be reached being located on the ground. To rescue them the player has to make his way through a field of asteroids and meteors and land on one of three platforms. The shuttle can be moved left and right and thrust is used to slow down its descent. After the player has successfully landed, an astronaut enters the shuttle which takes off again. To make it back to the space station the player once again has to navigate his way through the meteors but this time he can use a laser to blast through them. The player also has to watch out for alien flagships that lurk behind meteors. Once all six astronauts have been rescued the player gets bonus points and moves on to the next level.
