New Star Soccer 5

New Star Soccer 5 is the sixth game in the New Star Soccer series (counting New Star Soccer 2010 as the fifth instalment). The player creates and takes control of a single player, and guides his actions both in the field as well as handling his own finances, sponsors, and various other aspects in the life of a (soon-to-be) soccer superstar.

Skills of the player can be improved permanently in training via dribbling, shooting and other minigames, while the option to buy equipment and consumed substances before matches allow them to be temporarily raised. Wages and sponsor deals provide money to be spent on superstar lifestyle, or to be gambled away in the casino or horse racing. Every action such as keeping your relationships healthy (via another minigame) takes some of the energy that could be used on the pitch, and poor form can even place the player on the bench instead of the starting XI. Good performances allow the player to sign better deals with bigger clubs, and if national team calls your services, it can be led to victory in the World Cup.

Chasing the ball on the pitch is experienced from top-down view, and control schemes can be adjusted to suit both keyboard and gamepad play.
