Main screen. The game is saved automatically and you may continue it from any previously visited point.
The protagonists are Socrates Jones and his daughter Ari. Ari is a philosophy student with a bit of a crush on J.S.Mill
Your first argument is with a deer-repellant salesman.
Each philosophical battle begins with a presentation by your opponent. Fight!
Ari will teach you how to challenge a philosophical argument correctly.
Credibility is your life-meter for this game. Good arguments increase it and bad decrease it. When it's gone you lose the argument.
You can question or challenge any statement from the presentation.
By questioning you can ask for clarification, baking or relevancy.
Time to deliver your philosophical smackdown!
The real game begins when you arrive to the philosophy plane
There you will match wits with real philosophers, one after the other. First comes Euthyphro.
You can challenge a statement using a list of previous statements (for example, those learned from Euthyphro). Or you can call your opponent ugly. It's up to you.
Ari will continue to educate you in philosophy even on this plane.
Enter Protagoras. He thinks you are the original Socrates.
The chapter selection screen allows you to continue a previous debate from any point. Usually so that you could see what happens when you insult Hobbes.
As the game progresses the arguments get more and more elaborate. And Kant isn't even the final boss!
