The player enters their name by clicking on the letters. On the next screen they choose a picture to accompany their name
Returning to the game the player finds their name is already registered, the picture helps those who cannot read yet
The eponymous playground. Clicking on a character starts one of the mini games.
There are certain points where the player has to make a choice. As this is aimed at children who may not be able to read the player is instructed to make their choice by clicking on a coloured button
This is the Match-up game where the player has to match a picture to it's initial letter.
There are two levels of difficulty in this game

In Picture Planer the player has to click on the numbers in sequence.
The rocket ship then flies to that number leaving a white line behind it
Luckily the picture planet game draws the full picture when the player reaches the last number otherwise I'd never have guessed what it was supposed to represent.
In Pond Pals the player clicks on an item and Biff tells them a bit about it. Here frogspawn is being explained
Not all the creatures are on screen at the same time.
Occasionally something will swim or fly by, like this dragon fly
