Call of Duty: Heroes
Description official description
Call of Duty: Heroes is a real-time strategy game based on the Call of Duty first-person shooter franchise. The gameplay mixes construction and base management, combined with attack and defend phases, as popularized by titles such as Clash of Clans. The player manages a base and constructs and upgrades buildings, trains troops and sets up defenses, and completes missions in a single-player mode in locations such as South America, the Middle East, Africa, North Europe, and South Asia, by invading an enemy base in PvP, or by fending off waves in the survival mode. It is possible to team up with friends to create alliances, sharing rewards and donating troops.
Players can freely design a stronghold in a small environment. Resources to build are gathered through mining gold and drilling for oil. Miners and pumps need to be constructed and they are kept in depots. Later on diamonds are added as an additional mineral. Other types of buildings include defenses such as barriers, sentry guns, turrets, mines etc. Military buildings include training and machine compounds, a deployment yard, a ballistics lab, a technology facility and more. Buildings can be upgraded multiple times to unlock new options, and through research as well. The training compound is used to train various types of troops to use during attacks. Players can freely choose the location to deploy them, but then they act on their own and attempt to destroy as much as possible. There are also heroes, based on famous characters from previous Call of Duty games. These have many more abilities and can be moved around during combat by the player, unlike regular troops. They also level up, gain experience, have a certain amount of health, and they have statistics based on attack damage, rate and range, accuracy, critical chance, movement, and camouflage. By destroying enemy buildings skills points are used to upgrade heroes. Skill points can also be used to activate their special abilities, such as controlling a chopper gunner from the air, calling in air strikes or deploying drones.
Next to the basic currencies Celerium is used as a premium currency, mainly used to quickly finish construction and training, to avoid waiting times. It can be bought through in-app purchases, but there are also opportunities to acquire it by completing missions and battles. Daily rewards also provide additional resources, including the premium currency. Celerium can be used to buy shields for a number of days, preventing all attacks on the base for a limited amount of time. There are cooldown times to prevent players from using a shield all the time and as soon as you attack, your shield is removed. Optionally Celerium is used to acquire decorative elements for the base, such as statues and flags, or to buy additional builder units to speed up the construction process.
The viewpoint is not fixed. Through pinching and dragging it is possible to zoom and rotate.
