The game loads to this rather daunting looking set of windows The large window is the map view where track is laid/edited The minimised window is the 3D view

Here the map view shows a pre-built circuit and the 3D view of that circuit has been expanded

Here the player is laying their own track. On the left is a vertical track selection menu, the curve is created by moving the mouse and not by selecting special curved pieces of track

The player has created a simple straight line track and has dropped some buildings onto it Track comes from the menu on the left, buildings and rolling stock from the top menu bar

One of the supplied layouts The square thing in the foreground is a points switch that can be changed by clicking on it

The player can also build roads and put vehicles on them

There are old style American locomotives

The player can view the track from five camera positions. Each camera can pan and zoom using buttons on the upper menu bar

Sometimes the houses etc don't sit on the landscape correctly. Note : This may be a game feature or user error

The map view is used to place and change camera angles. Five camera positions can be placed in each layout

The in-game help opens in a separate window. There's also a .pdf manual on the CD

The drivers dialogue shown here is being used to control the speed and direction of the passenger train in the distance
