- EVAC (2009 on Windows, 2012 on Macintosh)
EVAC builds on the concept of Pac-Man as a maze game. The player controls a pink square that moves through bright, neon mazes. To complete a level all the dots need to be eaten as this opens up the exit. Meanwhile the character is chased by red enemies. The game adds a story layer with two characters: Cratos and Shadowbox. The yellow Cratos can be found in various parts of the mazes and provides hints and help. Shadowbox is the one who chases after the pink character, taunts him and sends out the red squares.
Controls are limited to moving around. By eating dots quickly in succession a score multiplier is built up. There are various puzzle elements with black parts that can be used to hide, blocks that can be moved around to open up or close passages, buttons that open forcefield barriers, moving spikes, red trapdoors that trigger the enemy squares, and temporary ghost power-ups that allow the character to move past red squares, spikes and barriers. Shock power-ups with a limited amount of charges automatically stun enemies when they get close and the aura power-up provides temporary invincibility, killing enemies permanently as well. It is possible to get stuck and then the level has to be restarted.
For some platforms the game is free-to-play with an in-app purchase to receive additional lives and power-ups. There are 24 levels in total and online leaderboards.
