Surgery Simulator 2011
Description
In Surgery Simulator 2011, the player takes the role of a surgeon. Each of the eight available operations have the same procedure: first there are some basic facts about the patient and the nurse explicitly announces the next step, e.g. sterilizing a wound. Then the player grabs the appropriate (also announced) tool from the table, clicks on the patient and has to solve a mini game. Those are controlled by mouse and usually involve replicating movements like clicking in a certain area and dragging the mouse on a line. After that is done, the nurse announces the next step and the pattern repeats until the operation is finished. Additionally the player has to monitor the patient's vital and anesthesia signs and adjust two machines if they are on a critical level.
Depending on how well the player performs during the operations, points are earned and allow to sign the high score list if high enough. The free playing mode, which unlocks after finishing an operation, is exactly the same without the points. The sub-menus like the tool table or the anesthesia machine can be reached by clicking on them on the main playing screen, with the shortcut bar on the side of the screen or with keyboard shortcuts.
