KBlocks
Description
KBlocks is a falling-blocks game like Tetris. Blocks of different shape are falling from the top of the screen and to sort them that horizontal lines are created at the bottom. If a line is build, it vanishes and the player is rewarded some points. The player can rotate the shapes falling down. The game ends if the stacked stones reaching the upper border.
There are three difficulty levels, with "Easy" starting at level 1, "Medium" at level 5 and "Hard" on level 10. With increasing levels, the falling speed of the blocks is increased, making sorting them harder. There are two graphical theme sets delivered with the game, but more can be downloaded directly from inside the game.
Beside the traditional single player game, there is a mode in which you play against the AI. Each block is identical for both the player and the AI and you can try to beat the computer by sorting the blocks better than it. In this game mode, the view is splitted and two playing fields are shown beside each other. Reaching a good score allows you to enter a high-score table, which is saved to disk.
