PieceFall

PieceFall is a simple block-matching puzzle game set across a variety of islands. The aim of the game is to restore a collection of islands to their former glory by filling the holes left following a natural disaster.

Its mechanics are simple to pick up. Using one analogue stick to control the rotation of the block and the other to control movement, you must replace the missing blocks damaged by the disaster. However as you progress, the levels become progressively more tricky with its 3D Tetris-like gameplay. By completing puzzles structures are built to alter the surroundings.

Created by students at Sheffield Hallam University, this title was the first student game released on the PlayStation 4, under Sony's PlayStation First program.
