Bubble Bobble: Lost Cave
Description
The aim of the Bubble Bobble: Lost Cave Project is to create a new experience for every lover of the classic Bubble Bobble arcade game, designed by Fukio “MTJ” Mitsuji and crew back in 1986.
Using levels from various home, console and hand-held incarnations of the original Bubble Bobble arcade game, the authors have created a brand new game based on the original arcade machine. The game can be run on original Bubble Bobble hardware or emulated by the various arcade emulators available. Game play is exactly as the original with a change of level layouts and graphics.
As the original, Bubble Bobble: Lost Cave is a platform game, with each level being a single screen. The enemies must be cleared from a level to go to the next one. The player can jump and collect items for points (such as fruit) and blow bubbles. These bubbles can be used as platforms to leap on, or to trap enemies. Enemies trapped in a bubble must be popped by jumping into them, turning them into fruit that can be collected for points.
