Demon Sword

The Good
What stood out the most was the jumping in Demon Sword... With most games of that era jumping was tedious.. troublesome, tricky, or required that you pay close attention to timing... In Demon Sword.. the jumping was TERRIFIC!!... There are no time constraints and in most cases you were in an area where by simply pressing up.. you could latch onto the back ground mid-jump.. then leap from that position and so forth... The game designers left you plenty of space to explore with no time limit... Instead of a time limit.. if you stay in one area too long these skeleton cats would keep racing across the screen to attack you more fiercely than the normal baddies.. but move on and your back to slashing demons and collecting power-ups... Play around taking each stage slowly -or- Bound from what ever surfaces you can heading straight for the stage boss at a pace I can only compare to a highly caffeinated Spider Man rushing to save Mary Jane... Great power-ups and cool abilities all backed by a jammin' soundtrack that I still rock out to some fifteen years later... This game may not have won any awards but it was fun!... Worth every penny.. It will forever stand out from the multitude of NES titles I had came across in my youth...

The Bad
I honestly cannot remember... The passwords were complicated??? Seriously... It has been sooo long since I have been able to play it... I really only have fond memories of the game...

The Bottom Line
Buy it!

All jokes aside... Demon Sword's control system was very easy to pick up... and the movements were very smooth ... I would describe this game as one of my all time favorites....

I hope you at least get a chance to play it.
