Tank Negotiator
Description
Tank Negotiator is a multiplayer game for up to four players. Matches are played on single-screen arenas (overall five available) which are basically squares with walls. Each participant drives a futuristic tank with two main attacks which overheat after too much constant fire: bullets (penetrate shields) and lasers (bounce off walls). Additionally each player can choose one additional attack before the match (flamethrower, ice cannon, shockwave or vortex) and has four rechargeable skills (healing, cloaking, shield and jamming the opponent's shields/weapons/speed). Even more attacks can be unleashed after picking up the different power-ups which may spawn in during matches, e.g. tesla coil, turrets or imposter (it looks like the player is on the opposite team).
The two available game modes are deathmatch and capture the flag (in contrast to the usual mode, here there is only one flag to capture); both either in free-for-all or team variants. Additionally to the basic choices (map, map skin, game mode), there are also various additional choices available, e.g. the winning condition (winning a certain amount of rounds or setting a maximal amount of rounds) or power-up frequency. Many of the options deal with how upgrades are handled: Normally players earn skill points during the match which can be used to upgrade weapons and abilities. Alternatively upgrades can be applied regularly, re-set them after each ground, even out the points for each player after each round or simply have everyone start with everything maxed out.
