Hoplite

Hoplite is a turn-based strategy game set in procedurally generated levels with hexagon tiles and roguelike elements. The game is always played on a single-screen field. The player controls a hoplite, displayed with a flat 2D side view just like all enemies, who travel to the underworlds to recover the Fleece of Yendor and return home safely. Turn by turn, you move and attack the different monsters through the levels until the Fleece is found at floor 16. Killing monsters is optional as long as the stairs is reached to go to the next floor. There is a shrine on each level where you can learn new attacks or gain health.

For Android the game is free-to-play with a single in-app purchase to unlock the premium features. For iOS it is a commercial release. It was originally developed for the 7DRL (7-Day RogueLike) Challenge in 2013. In 2015 a Challenge mode was added next to the original game mode as a free update.
