Katie Commando

Katie Commando is a third-person run and gun game, similar to 80's arcade shooters like Cabal or Devastators. As Katie, the sexiest special agent in the world, you have to infiltrate and destroy a chemical weapons facility.

The game uses a behind-the-shoulder perspective with all action taking place in front of you. You can move freely with the keyboard, running forwards or backwards at your own pace, while aiming your cursor with the mouse. By reaching the end of the level you proceed to the next.

Killed enemies will sometimes drop power-ups, ranging from points and extra lives to grenades and additional weapons or screen-clearing smart bombs. Your standard machinegun never runs out of ammo, but the other weapons - which include a flamethrower, rocket launcher and different machineguns - can only be used until you run out of shots. Picking up a different weapon will replace the one you already have. There are also several different kinds of grenades you can pick up.

The game takes place over 12 levels, with every fourth level being a boss battle against a larger war machine. During these stages you cannot move backwards or forwards, only sideways. Clearing all the levels will unlock the next difficulty, which range from easy through normal to hard.
