There are nine screens of Rules. In addition to the hidden objects I must find coins - used to buy hints; gems - used to but aids for the jewel match games; board parts - a jewel board must be complete before match three can be played

The game starts with an introduction screen Then Emma comes along and there's a voice over. When I played the game these voice overs, which can also appear at the start and end of a chapter, were accompanied by the borders and a a black game area

Typically a new location starts with Emma worrying about something

This is the game's first location and it is a sort of tutorial. Some items, such as this key, will go into the inventory. In another location there will be a lock that is waiting for it

Remember to look out for jewels and coins, they buy hints and stuff that comes in useful

Emma's diary charts progress and does contain some helpful information

This is a nice touch, all the 'easy' items have been found. Those that remain need me to unlock something - is there a key in my inventory?

This is one of several puzzles in the game, in this one I have to reconstruct a map

Now that I have reconstructed a map I can explore the island. Each level has progressively more locations, These can be tackled in any order though some locations require items from elsewhere before they can be completed

My current location should be the chapter's last location because it contains the Jewel Board, however I must find all the pieces of the board to unlock it

I have now found all the pieces of the Jewel Board and can play it even though I am in a different location

Before playing the Jewel Board I have a chance to buy some helpful tokens, this is where the gems come are used

The objective with Jewel Boards is to match three or more of a kind. When a match is complete the underlying cell colour changes to gold. When the entire grid is golden the game is complete. Later games get harder and have locked jewels and other features

Once the Jewel Board has been completed I can progress to the next chapter

All chapters played so far have an end of chapter puzzle. This is a sort of 3D, side scrolling, time limited, hidden object puzzle. There are twenty objects to be found with an alleged bonus it you find them all - I never could
