Interactive Experience Cyberia Now Available on CD-ROM from Interplay Productions

Irvine, California - December 2, 1994 - Blending Hollywood cinematography and CD-ROM gaming action, Interplay Productions announced today the release of the arcade/adventure game Cyberia with near photo-realistic images, full-screen, full-motion video, and furiously intense game play. Now available for IBM and 100% compatibles on the CD-ROM format, Cyberia features a musical score by Thomas Dolby's Headspace. "Cyberia is an arcade/adventure game that pushes interactive entertainment to the next level," stated Jerry Luttrell, marketing manager for Interplay Productions. "The full-screen, photorealistic action sequences are simply stunning. A CD-ROM quality musical score and astounding sound effects flow around the player's actions. These stunning effects and musical score were written specifically for Cyberia at the Thomas Dolby Headspace production studio. Fully digitized speech with realistic lip synching round out the audio experience that brings Cyberia to life.

An epic experience over two years in the making, Cyberia integrates multiple story lines and plot paths with an extremely simple interface. Designed and developed by Xatrix Interactive Design the fluid integration of technology and Hollywood film techniques combine innovation and interactivity that results in visually stunning graphics. Developed on state-of-the-art Silicon Graphics Workstations, Cyberia accomplishes highly realistic character movement using digitally captured motion which takes animation to new levels of fluidity and precision.

Players are able to set the adjustable difficulty levels for adventure, puzzle and arcade elements. Action sequences challenge the player with multiple scenarios and several levels of difficulty, which enhance the replay value and add depth to the gaming experience.

Cyberia was produced by Interplay's Ali Atabek, who joined forces with Interplay earlier this year. Atabek is the former president and founder of Mind Craft and brings with him a wealth of industry experience and game development savvy. Atabek is best known as the designer of Magic Candle and Siege.

Cyberia runs on computers equipped with a 386-16 or faster with 4Mb of RAM, DOS 3.3 or higher, hard drive and mouse, and supports Sound Blaster or 100% compatibles. A joystick is recommended, and an MPC compliant CD-ROM drive is required.
