Bad Sector

Bad Sector is a Qix-like game where you are tasked with protecting a computer storage device against viruses and eradicating the viruses that are currently present. You do this by sectioning off areas of the level, which destroys all viruses caught inside. However while doing this you are vulnerable, so if a virus touches you or an uncompleted section you lose a life. To complete a level you have to either section off at least 80% of the board, or destroy all the viruses that are present. If you lose all three of your lives or fail to complete the level within a set time limit you lose and are forced to start that level again from scratch. Throughout the game you will encounter three types of viruses who will try to halt your progress: red viruses, which simply bounce around the level in a predictable fashion; purple viruses, which sit still and spawn more red viruses; and yellow viruses, which rush towards you when you try to section off an area of the level.
