Mission XK1

Mission XK1 is a variant of the arcade game Lunar Rescue. The player is in control of a lander whose task it is to land on the planet Zyphon where it has to collect fuel. The player is dropped from a mother ship at the top of the screen and has to navigate through an asteroid field with the aim of landing on one of three pads on the surface. While moving down thrust controls are used to steer the lander and slow down its descent but if to too much thrust is used it will run out of fuel. After collecting the fuel the player has to fly back up to the mother ship. While doing so it is possible to shoot and destroy the asteroids. Lives are lost when crashing into the ground or the asteroids or when missing the mother ship.
