The main menu screen With this game there is no fancy animated introduction

There are game configuration options for Video (display settings), Audio, and the controller. The game is keyboard controlled by default but a joystick option is available

The car/race selection screen There are six cars to choose from and all are available from the start

The start of a drag race The races begin with a combination of a fly by of the route; a pretty hooker doing the 3-2-1 countdown, close ups of the cars etc

The start of a race and already an AI car is trying to crawl up by exhaust pipe. Lots of noise and car fragments. In the distance a purple light column shows the end point

Street lamps and random traffic can be smashed through but trees cannot

The Amsterdam I visited looked nothing like this

One of the drag race routes. The AI cars are fighting each other and racing into oncoming traffic. It's gotta be easier to race on the right side of the road hasn't it

Erm - I'm supposed to be on the motorway that's at the top of that ramp. It was a pleasant surprise to find that it was possible to deviate from the route even if it was unintentional

One of the most terrifying sights is an AI car heading towards you, here a red one has bulldozed traffic into the air and is heading my way.

Game Over When the player runs out of cash they cannot enter any more races so that's the end. They're stopped and after a short wait a police car rams them and they die in a ball of flame

Some of the races are started by young ladies

Get used to losing races, it will happen a lot

All races start with the traditional 3-2-1-Go! countdown

There's a first person view option

Though real world physics are not used the cars will only take so much damage
