Game & Watch Wide Screen: Popeye

Game & Watch Wide Screen: Popeye is the third game in the third series of Game & Watch games published by Nintendo, also known as the Wide Screen Series. Popeye is the first third party licensed character to be used by Nintendo in a G&W.

One plays as Popeye the sailor, needing to catch objects thrown from the wharf by Olive Oil. If the player misses one, it falls into the sea, which results in half a miss. At certain points Bluto will be trying to punch Popeye as he appears from the left side of the screen. If Bluto hits Popeye he will fall into the water and lose a life. In Game B Bluto can appear from both sides of the screen.
