Time Crisis: Strike

Time Crisis: Strike is an entry in the Time Crisis rail shooter series. This iOS version is a reworked version of the 2006 title Time Crisis: Mobile as an alternate version and spin-off of the main Time Crisis 3 game. The player controls an elite cop in pursuit of the villain Mad Dog. True to the original games the movement and camera angles are all handled by the computer in a cinematic style with quick movement, the player only needs to tap and shoot.

The player quickly needs to alternate between a cover position and coming out to shoot. Tilting the device slightly is used to cause the character to duck behind cover and reload at the same time. That position always makes the character invincible, but it is necessary to dispose of enemies quickly as when the timer runs out, the character starts taking damage. Shooting is disabled while reloading. Enemy shots are either marked yellow or red. Yellow ones are misses and can be ignored, while red ones do damage if they are not avoided through seeking cover. Some enemies also throw hatchets and bombs. These can be shot out of the air. Many enemies take multiple hits and life bars are shown. A total score is calculated on the performance, with bonuses for combos.

The main Arcade mode consists of three stages (Into the Fire, To the Core, and Showdown) with three difficulty levels that influence the amount of continues. There is a boss at the end of each level. The character has five lives at the start. There are Stage Trials to take on a specific mission. Five Crisis Missions can be unlocked with challenges to complete specific tasks, such as defeating only a certain type of enemies or killing a number of opponents in a limited amount of time.
