Junkyard Adventures in Space screenshots

The game starts with a low resolution sequence showing the player entering the junkyard to play.

This is the main menu. There are four game areas, the car, shed, crane and the mineshaft. The player can access these by either clicking on the hotspots or the icons at the bottom of the screen

On entering the car a cheery little ditty is sung. There are two activities here, I-Spy is launched by clicking on the glove box and the Space Quiz by clicking on the radio

The I-Spy Quiz The player has been asked to find five red rockets and has so far only found three. The Steering Wheel returns to the car, the monkey to the main menu

The Shed: home to the ‘Rosey’s Rocket’ set of activities

‘Rosey’s Rocket’ is a set of three activities The Glove steps through the story and asks the player questions The speaker sings the story The paintbrush opens the art package

Roseys Rocket: Stepping through the story presents one screen at a time, asks a question and then pauses. There are lots of hotspots in the pictures which trigger a comment or a piece of information

Roseys Rocket: Here the story is being sung, the game highlights the current phrase so the player can follow the song

Roseys Rocket: This is the art section of the game. Note the appearance of new icons for saving, printing and erasing part of the picture

The recycle Room: Here the player uses pictures of small items to make a big picture

The Recycle Room: Look what I made Ma! The light bulb in the corner of the picture area offers suggestions such as "What would a friendly alien look like?"

The Tip: This launches 'The Alien Game', the player clicks on the laser to launch the game.

Playing The Alien game The objective is to score points by having the green alien catch green stars, the blue alien blue stars and the red alien red ones. Oh! and shoot the spaceship

Game Over. Before exiting the game displays a screen of credits
