A fun and difficult game of swordplay

The Good
The graphics were very well drawn. The backgrounds and characters were very detailed. Probably the best part was that you really felt you were fighting off hordes of bad guys (albeit one or two at a time). It was very satisfying to get close to the end of the level and see all the dead bodies pile up.

The Bad
The controls were difficult (about six different keys on the keyboard - no joystick control). Although the characters were well drawn, the animation was rather jerky.

The Bottom Line
Swashbuckler is a side-perspective fighting game where you use your trusty sword to fight off all sorts of enemies, from rats and scorpions to thugs and pirates.
