Description

Robots is a classic terminal game. The objective is to escape a swarm of robots by forcing the robots to crash into each other. As you take a step, the robots will all move one step closer to you. If the robots collide with each other, they create a pile of wreckage, which can also be used to destroy other robots. Once you reach the edge of the board and are about to be eaten, you can also use a teleport move to appear at a different random position on the board and resume the escape attempt.

This entry is for the BSD clone of the original Robots game posted on Usenet. This version is more friendly to players, as it will prevent the player from accidentally moving into a square where they will be eaten by a robot. It also uses a smaller playing field than the original, using space on the right side of the screen to provide a control reference and score.
