Amiga Format (Dec, 1993)
Zool CD32 plays like an absolute dream. You're hooked within the first couple of minutes of play as the scorchingly fast Ninja leaps from platform to platform. There are lots of great touches - like the ability to cling to the side of objects - and his spinning bamboo attack puts even the toughest baddies in their place.
Amiga Force (Feb, 1994)
Still a great game, but doesn't utilise the abilities of the CD32 enough.
The main difference with Zool on CD is it's been packed full with techno music. The graphics though, are still as colourful, scrolling is smooth and sound is adequate. My main complaint is it's often difficult to see baddies or traps because there is so much colour on-screen. Gameplay scores highly however, because there are no annoying death traps; if you fall off a ledge there's ample opportunity to grab it. The extra level is a welcome boost to the game's value and overall this comes highly recommended.
Amiga Power (Jan, 1994)
The graphics are still the pretty-but-slightly-cluttered efforts of the A1200 game, but the soundtrack is (predictably) lots better, with some neat-rave-y tunes and lots of shouting which gives things a really busy, happening kind of atmosphere.
Amiga Joker (Nov, 1993)

The One Amiga (Dec, 1993)
I'm not a huge Zool fan but I can see that as far as Amiga platform games go, this is one of the best. But just don't expect a huge difference between the A1200 offering.
Amiga CD32 Gamer (Mar, 1994)
Enhanced for the A1200 chipset, Zool may look even brighter and more cheerful than any Mega Drive game ever could, but playability is painfully weak. Clever puzzles, sophisticated level maps and imaginative power-ups are conspicuous by their absence.
Power Unlimited (Sep, 1994)
