The Matter of the Monster
Description
An exercise in time-shifted narrative in the vein of a spontaneously-generated bedtime story (and filling the backstory blanks thereof), this choose-your-own-adventure prototype begins at the end of the story -- the monster having been defeated -- and then prompts the player for questions fleshing out how the player managed to pull off the heroic feat, with what help from their siblings and what their stories were. Meanwhile, the text flips up and down, ultimately yielding a conventional narrative beginning at the beginning and ending at the ending. Its creation, however, begins at the ending.

Trivia
Development
This game was written for the Indigo New Language Speed-IF challenge (issued here), defying game authors to create the game in English, engaging the word "indigo", under a limited timeframe in a programming language with which they had no prior familiarity.
