Once in a while a home game comes along that has hit written all over it. Often it's from an arcade hit or a spinoff of another game. But occasionally it's a totally original idea. Games like that are as rare as honest politicians. Drol is one and I heartily endorse it.
Apple IIMicro 7 (Mar, 1984)
Le genre «jeu de grimpette» est certainement un des plus encombré cette année, et pourtant il arrive encore des idées nouvelles. Celui-ci, en plus, est carrément hilarant. Il faut avoir vu une fois le «poulet rôti».
Atari 8-bitComputer Gaming World (CGW) (Oct, 1984)
Drol was originally written for the Apple, so it doesn't take full advantage of the Atari's color capabilities. However, the high quality of the animation, the cleverness of the animated foes, and the nonsense of the theme, all make Drol well-worth the money.
