Fighting Fantasy: Citadel of Chaos

Moby ID: 47096
iPhone Specs

Description

The second Fighting Fantasy gamebook, first published back in 1983, becomes (after Firetop Mountain and Deathtrap Dungeon) the third FF gamebook to receive a second computer adaptation (its first back in '84). Steve Jackson's story remains the same - the player makes Choose-Your-Own-Adventure decisions on behalf of a warrior-mage infiltrating the warlock Balthus Dire's stronghold of Craggen Rock to save the inhabitants of the Vale of the Willow below. Along with the player's wits and canny automated inventory management, the player will have to pass certain challenges (including combat) by passing checks on their SKILL, STAMINA and LUCK ratings -- taking into account a randomized factor of die-rolling (or here, iPhone-shaking.)
