Justice Monsters Five

Justice Monsters Five is a fantasy game inspired by pinball. It is based on the mini-game of the same name that can be played as a full game on a pinball-like arcade machine by the characters inside Final Fantasy XV. The mini-game as it is presented there was also made available as a standalone mobile game with the same title. It is free-to-play and uses in-app purchases for golden orbs as a premium currency. There is an energy system that requires a currency or time to recharge as energy is consumed with each new fight. The game takes place in Nova, a galaxy where monsters live. There was peace for a long time until the Bahamut Grand Fleet invaded, led by Grim Gargoyle. The player controls a band of monsters known as the Justice Monsters to fight the invasion and bring back peace.

The player controls and maintains a roster of monsters through various fights. Those are played as pinball games in a fixed-screen environment, with sets of flippers that control a ball to hit the monsters near the top of the screen. Each launch from the bottom of the screen acts as a turn and opponents also use turn-based attacks. This basic type of gameplay is expanded through the abilities of the monsters chosen for the fight, available from the bottom of the screen once their attacks are ready after a few turns. They have unique attacks and can target specific weaknesses. Next to these enhancements there are Megaboosts (boost all stats by 10%, up to three times) and monster Evolution. Evolution is done by acquiring thirteen types of spirits by defeating Advent Bosses in the Events game mode.

The player can hold to charge a shot as a pierce shot, a wall-running climb shot or an exploding burst shot, along with determining the general direction. Each fight is rated based on three stars with a score and coins as a reward. Next to a global level monsters level up individually based on experience. Fights can be done as time-limited events or as a series of quests.

There are various ways to acquire new monsters and duplicate ones can be exchanged for the orichalcum currency. Each monster has five basic statistics: Attack, Defense, HP, Luck and Tech. The stats can be upgraded multiple times using the Golden Orbs currency or five types of crystals tied to a stat (Fire Crystals fuel Attack, Earth Crystals fuel Defense, Water Crystals fuel HP, Light/Dark Crystal fuel Luck, and Thunder Crystals fuel Tech). Next to crystals there are items and class-specific materials. Monster attacks can be upgraded as well.
