Dollar Dash
Description
Dollar Dash is a fast-paced action game about heists. It can be played in single-player with bots, but is meant to be played by four players competing against each other either offline or online. The game contains three game modes. In Dollar Dash thieves collect cash and bring it to the getaway vehicle, in Hit'n'Run cash is earned by knocking out enemies, and in Save the Safe you earn cash while carrying a safe while the other thieves attempt to knock you out.
The game always takes place in a small arena. While playing the characters can pick up offensive and defensive weapons such as fire extinguishers, traps, fireworks, giant cannonballs, cacti, molotov cocktails, shields, reversed controls when drunk and more. Characters can always punch each other when no weapon is picked up. No new weapon can be picked up as long as an existing one has still ammo. There are also power-ups that need to be activated manually and provide a short bonus such as a speed boost. A bar near the top of the screen shows how each character is doing. When one reaches the end on the right, the game is over. Depending on the map and game mode, other game elements are introduced. In Dollar Dash it is possible to steal money carried by other thieves by attacking them. Some maps have hazards such as bridges that disappear, alarms that can be triggered and guards that chase after the thieves. They can cause the characters to lose cash. A circle around characters shows the remaining health before being knocked out. The gameplay sees many events happening at once.
When setting up a game the conditions can be customized, such as the map, the goal, the number of bots and players, the difficulty level and custom weapon sets. Money earned during games can be spent in a shop on upgrades and perks, and cosmetic items such as hats, faces, taunts, icons and dances. Once acquired, upgrades and perks can be equipped in the game lobby prior to starting the game.
