Description official description

Scrabble Blast! is a Scrabble game, but no ordinary. Instead of filling an empty play-field with words, you have already an filled play-field at the beginning.

The game offers three game modes: One Bag, Puzzle, and Action.

When you start a game, regardless of the game mode, you will be presented an seven by seven letters big play-field, which is completely filled with random letters. Now it's your task to combine those letters to form words with a minimal length of three, but you can combine words with up to 15 letters, if you good enough. Unlike a normal Scrabble game, you do not need to arrange them horizontal (from left to right) or vertical (from up to down), instead you can use all directions, even diagonal or from down to up. And furthermore, you can even combine the directions, means for example: going left, then up, then diagonal down left, etc. Once you scored a word, it will vanish, and the letters above them fill fall down to fill the gap. The empty places now on top of the play-field will also be re-filled.

In One Bag you will only have 100 letters, so you have your 49 letters in your 7x7 play-field, and 51 in reserve. Until the reserve is drained, it works like explained above. Once you do not have a reserve left, the letters on top of the play-field won't refill, so there is now an empty unusable space their. When one vertical row is completely vanished, the play-field will shrunk from right to left to remove the gap. So, your mission is to make as much points as possible before you run out of letters and you have to give up.

In Puzzle you play with an unlimited amount of letters, which will refill forever. Your mission is to find 10 words, regardless of the length. But, of course, the longer the word, the bigger the score. Once you done this, you proceed to the next level. For every level you need 10 words. But to make this game mode challenging, there are the so-called Number Bombs in their. If there is a bomb in the play-field, it will advance one row down to the bottom with every word you found. If it reaches the bottom, it will stay there until you found another word, then it will explode and destroy your play-field, and you loose. But you can prevent that, since you can destroy the bombs. You only need to form a word, were the letter inside the bomb will be uses, and the word length is equal or bigger than the number of the Number Bomb. So, for destroying a 6-Bomb, you will need to form at least a seven-letter-word with the bomb inside. Bombs range from 3- to 7-Bombs, and sometimes there are multiple bombs in the play-field. Or, if you have luck, there a no bombs their, but eventually, a bomb will appear.

The Action game-mode is the same as Puzzle, but with one significant difference. The bombs don't fall in rounds, they fall in real-time. They will fall one row about every 7 seconds (at the beginning, but increasing speed in later levels), so you must think fast. The good news inside this game mode is, that the bombs have no length, means they can be detonated with every word.

To make all three game modes more challenging, the game offers bonus fields, where you either can multiply the specific letter on top of the multiplier-field, or the entire word. You can even combine these multipliers for very big scores. In addition, the longer your word, the more bonus points you get.

This Scrabble variant even support the letter exchange, but, of course, it works different. With this you will replace the entire play-field. Since this has a major impact, you can only do this once per level, and one time only in One Bag-mode.

And in additional to this, Maven (the Scrabble AI) will help you, when you get stuck, by telling you hints for a word, and when you ask him more and more, he will give you more hints for the specific word, eventually he will reveal it completely. But that's not all what Maven do in this game, he also explains every word (with description and grammar) you found, if you ask him.

Furthermore, the game offers multiple high scores, for every game-mode one (for all players totally), but also for every individual player one for every game-mode.
