Game Groups > Setting: Neptune

Games which are set partially or entirely on or around Neptune, the eighth and farthest known planet from the Sun in our solar system. This includes games which take place in the vicinity of Neptune (or in its orbit) but not actually inside its atmosphere.

Few games are set on Neptune due to the fact that the planet is a gas giant world which does not have a solid surface, as well as the fact that it has been rarely visited by human space exploration efforts, but its distinctive blue color has made it a popular object to depict from afar in works of science fiction.

All games in this group automatically belong to the sci-fi genre.

Limitations

• Games in which Neptune only appears on a map or in a picture/painting and cannot be visited should be excluded from this group. Games which consist mostly or entirely of a map or maps can be added to this group if Neptune can be interacted with in some way (colonized/terraformed/destroyed, etc).
