Sega's own series of 3D soccer games with an arcade slant, but produced exclusively for the home console market (as opposed to the Virtua Striker arcade ports). Despite its absence from 2000 to 2003, the Worldwide Soccer series was brought back in 2004 by SEGA of America with Worldwide Soccer Manager 2005 (A renamed Football Manager 2005 in North America). This series ended in 2009 after Sports Interactive Limited decided to sell it under the Football Manager name in North America as well as Europe.
